BREAKING Liverpool launch cryptic tweet that proves Mo Salah will signal new deal

Mohamed Salah’s contract extension appears to have been confirmed by the cub – after they posted a cryptic tweet with a picture of their star man.

The Anfield club posted a picture of a grinning Salah – dubbed ‘the Egyptian King’ by the Kop –along with a crown emoji.

It came just minutes after the news broke the club and Salah were close to agreeing a new deal to extend his time at the Reds.

The training ground snap, showing Salah’s toned body, caused a stir among fans eagerly awaiting confirmation their hero had put pen to paper on a new deal.

One wrote: “Don’t tease us like that”, while another agreed: “You teases.”

A third wrote: “I wonder why Mo is so happy?” Another fan said: “This club knows what it’s doing man.”

Salah’s current deal expires in the summer and his future has been a subject of debate for months.

Fellow stars Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also out of contract and Kopites are all-but resigned to losing their homegrown right back to Real Madrid.

But they’ve received a double boost this week as both Van Dijk and Salah look set to extend their stays in Merseyside.
