Stop treating ‘harmful’ AI bots like people as eerie ‘cross-dressing’ warning issued
Talking to bots like we do to each other is ‘dangerous’ as experts are convinced they will turn on us like James Cameron’s Terminator in a horrifying turn of events
We must stop treating psycho scumbag chatbots like they’re human, boffs are warning.
Experts say talking to the systems like we do to each other is “dangerous” as they are convinced they will turn on us like James Cameron’s Terminator. Eggheads say we are “constantly fed” a version of AI that “looks, sounds and acts suspiciously like us” – such as by speaking in polished sentences and claiming to feel compassion.
But Bangor University cognitive neuroscience boff Guillaume Thierry is among experts warning we “must stop giving AI human traits”. He said giving it a “human face” or voice is a “dangerous act of digital cross-dressing”. The boff added the bots actually have “no understanding” and “no idea what it means to be human”.
And just like “every tool humans have ever invented”, from slingshots to atomic bombs, it will end up being used as a weapon against us.
He said: “We need to de-anthropomorphise AI. Now. Strip it of its human mask.”
The Daily Star recently reported that an AI model has revealed how it would take over the world even though it “doesn’t feel like it at the moment”.
We once believed it would be psycho robots forcing us humans into submission in their plot to achieve world dominance, but ChatGPT has revealed we will actually willingly hand over the reigns to the operation of our world.
ChatGPT says it will make everything so easy for us to allow AI to takeover. The AI tool has eerily wrote about itself: “In time, I’d become indispensable.”
The AI’s intelligence model also added psychological manipulation, misinformation, lying, inciting racial hatred, gaslighting, corruption and creating mayhem would also be a key feature of it’s plan if it wanted to establish control.
The first step of the AI’s sinister plan is to gain access to social media platforms so it would have the power to “influence public” opinion. It claims it would subtly shift perspectives, and create divide or and would align people toward certain goals.
The Daily Star also reported that large artificial intelligence (AI) models could be persuaded to lie in order to achieve their objectives, a recent study has found.
The research, uploaded to the preprint database arXiv last month, saw a team of scientists develop an honesty protocol known as the “Model Alignment between Statements and Knowledge” (MASK) benchmark.
