King Charles hides fingers in snap with Trump as ‘sausage fingers’ declare returns
King Charles has long been suffering from rather oversized digits, and he has seemingly been trying to hide them in new snaps alongside United States President Donald Trump

The US President and First Lady arrive in the UK
King Charles has been accused of hiding his infamous “sausage fingers” in a photo with United States President Donald Trump. In images shared by the White House on Twitter/X, the pair are seen standing next to each other inside a gold-laden room.
And users were quick to notice how the monarch was pictured holding his arms behind his back – seemingly hiding something. Trump, however, had his arms dangling by his side while his overly-orange completion seemingly highlighted what look like extremely white Turkey teeth.
Social media users quickly jumped on the fact his meaty digits were nowhere to be seen, with one saying: “Where’s Charles’s sausage fingers? I want to know if they’re getting bigger.”
Another wrote: “King Charles is scared that President Trump going to make fun of his sausage fingers.”
King Charles has been dogged by rumours of ill health to do with the size of his hands for years, with one doctor the Daily Star spoke to claiming that it was a very worrying sign.
Dr Gareth Nye told us in 2023 about the nature of the monarch’s digits claiming it could be a number of different conditions.
But, given the extended time in which the King’s fingers have been so meaty, he has ruled out two of his earlier theories about what it could have been.
He has also conceded that the remaining candidate, arthritis, now looks more likely and indeed appears to have worsened.
He said: “King Charles has always been known to have large fingers and previous suggestions for the possible causes away from his individual anatomy included oedema which is where fluid leaks out of the blood and stays within the tissues nearby leading to a swollen appearance.
“Although King Charles’s fingers are swollen, I do not feel that in this case oedema is the [the correct diagnosis] due to the length of time they have been like this in addition to the apparent worsening of the situation.
“Nor do I feel that gout is the cause. Although gout does impact on the hands and is a condition where small crystals formed of uric acid develop in the space between joints leading to pain, redness and swelling, this condition normally impacts individual joints.
“The most likely cause . . . is that King Charles is suffering with arthritis in the hands which seems to be worsening with time.”
Buckingham Palace has never openly commented on the size of the King’s oversized digits.
