Disgraced Andrew faces ‘particular bush’ elimination in newest blow to ex-prince

The foliage had been planted to mark a major anniversary for local residents, but its future is now in doubt following Andrew’s downfall as the Epstein scandal rumbles on

A memorial tree planted by the disgraced Andrew Mountbatten Windsor faces potential removal as the Jeffrey Epstein scandal continues to unfold.

The Irish yewtree was planted by the then-Prince Andrew to commemorate Lisburn’s 400-year milestone under the stewardship of the Northern Ireland Office.

However, its fate now hangs in the balance following Andrew Windsor‘s loss of Royal titles this week amid his connections to the deceased billionaire paedophile Epstein. Andrew has vehemently denied the accusations against him.

But despite his adamant denial of claims, King Charles opted to strip Andrew of all of his royal titles – including Prince. Now, political parties across Lisburn, a city in Northern Ireland, have unanimously agreed that Andrew’s local legacy warrants reassessment.

A council representative stated: “The tree was planted to recognise 400 years of Lisburn being a town, and in line with our sustainability strategy we would not be removing it. Any action regarding the plaque would be undertaken in line with any future guidance issued by the Northern Ireland Office.

“We have contacted the Northern Ireland Office and await feedback,” the spokesperson added. Lisburn and Castlereagh maintain deep Royal connections, with the official Royal residence for Northern Ireland at Hillsborough Castle in County Down receiving Royal designation in 2021, according to the Mirror.

Andrew’s dramatic downfall followed accusations from the late Virginia Giuffre, who alleged she was forced to have sex with the former Duke at Ghislaine Maxwell’s residence aged just 17. He has categorically denied these allegations.

Pressure intensified on Andrew after additional allegations emerged in Ms Giuffre’s memoir Nobody’s Girl. Beyond losing his titles, Andrew faces eviction from the Royal Lodge in Windsor and has been removed from the official roll of peerages.

However, he retains his position as eighth in line to the throne, with the UK Government confirming it has no plans to introduce fresh legislation regarding the line of succession. A former Royal courtier has summed up Andrew’s current existence in a single word – “bleak”.

According to The Telegraph, the source who has visited Sandringham also predicted the former prince will lead an isolated existence. They remarked: “It’s going to be a lonely life for him.

“It’s a working farm, so there are always people around,” the insider added. “But they are staff, and he’s not someone who has a track record of being friendly with servants.”
