BREAKING Dying man ‘deserted in Costa del Sol vacation resort after being thrown from boat’
Police have launched an investigation after a dying man is believed to have been abandoned in a Costa del Sol holiday resort after being thrown from a boat.
One unconfirmed local report said The vessel was a drug boat with four powerful engines, says one local report, although the Civil Guard has not yet made any official comment. The incident happened in Puerto Banus near Marbella at around midday today.
Witnesses said the occupants of the semi-rigid boat abandoned the victim, pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders, by a fuel station used by the rich and famous who frequent Puerto Banus in the peak summer season before speeding away from the scene.

A conflicting report said the man, believed to be aged around 30, was thrown into the sea near the filling station before being pulled out and pronounced dead.
Footage published online revealed a number of National Police and Civil Guard vehicles at the scene parked by the expensive yachts in the port, with an ambulance also present.
The victim’s body is said to have been taken to Malaga’s Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy, while sources close to the ongoing police inquiry said all options are on the table and they have not ruled out the possibility the victim could have been killed as part of a drugs feud.
It is not yet clear how the victim, who has yet to be identified, died. Police sources have said there were no obvious signs he had been physically attacked.
Shootings in Puerto Banus and surrounding areas over the past few summers have led to high-profile high-season police operations in the area which have included raids on upmarket clubs, following criticism from locals the port area has become like the ‘Wild West.’
In June last year Manchester City star Erling Haaland was caught up in a dramatic police raid at a beach club called Playa Padre in Marbella. The Norwegian international was filmed putting his hands into his pocket to pull out his ID after cops in balaclavas demanded to know who he was.
The surprise raid, which happened the weekend after Haaland was filmed dancing alongside a DJ at the beach club during a previous visit, resulted in the arrest of an Iranian fugitive.
On October 3 a man later identified as a Swedish rapper was shot dead in broad-daylight in Puerto Banus. Hamza Karimi, 25, performed as Hamko. He was a former friend of an award-winning Swedish rapper known as Einar who was shot dead near Stockholm a week before he was scheduled to testify in a trial connected to his gunpoint 2020 kidnapping.
Spanish police confirmed the gunshot victim, whose murder was filmed on CCTV, had died after being rushed to the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella with several bullet wounds.
They also revealed a 38-year-old man described at the time as a Swedish passport holder who has been described locally as being of Afghan origin, had been arrested near the scene. He was remanded in prison by an investigating magistrate following a court appearance.
