BREAKING Two killed after minibus full of youngsters crashes into two vehicles as police pile in

Two people have been confirmed dead after a minibus full of children crashed into two cars, with police now investigating at the scene of the incident.

Police officers are at the scene after the tragic accident near the city of Volgodonsk in the Rostov Region, Russia, according to a Telegram channel from the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Police received a report of a traffic accident on a highway near Volgodonsk. Traffic police officers are currently working at the scene, determining all the circumstances of the incident and the number of injured,” the statement reads.

Earlier reports on social media suggested the accident involved two cars and a minibus carrying a children’s hockey team near Volgodonsk. Emergency services confirmed the incident to TASS and clarified that the children were uninjured, while two people in the other vehicles were killed.
