Mystery dying of influencer ‘Barbie Doll’ after having practically 30 plastic surgical procedures
Police have launched an investigation following the death of an influencer who had undergone nearly 30 plastic surgery operations to turn herself into a human Barbie.
Barbara Jankavski, 31, called herself Boneca Desumana on Instagram where she had more than 55,000 followers. Her social media name translates as ‘Inhuman Doll’ but Barbara was also dubbed the Human Barbie because of the huge amount of money she spent on trying to look like the miniature fashion icon.
The brunette died on Sunday at a townhouse in Lapa in the western part of the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.

A lawyer, 51, who owns the property reportedly told police he had spent the day with Barbara after hiring her for sex. He allegedly admitted they had both used drugs before she fell asleep beside him wearing just her underwear as they watched TV.
Police registered the influencer’s death as “suspicious” and are now awaiting a full autopsy report. Local reports say Barbara had an injury to her eye and marks on her back. She is also said to have had a coughing fit before falling asleep beside the lawyer, who has not been named.
Emergency services received the call on Sunday evening, with a doctor in the ambulance sent to the scene confirming Barbara’s death just after 9pm local time after unsuccessful attempts to revive her.
