Childlike intercourse doll present in Devon woods after ‘lifeless physique’ sparks police investigation
An ‘alarming’ childlike sex doll abandoned in woodland in Devon was initially mistaken for a human body.
The horrifying find was made by members of the public who believed they had stumbled upon human remains wrapped in a large black plastic bag.
Devon and Cornwall Police initiated a significant investigation after receiving reports of the discovery in the Awliscombe area near Honiton on Saturday, October 18.
A substantial investigation was launched, with a cordon and road closures implemented, reports Devon Live.
After the discovery was transported to a sterile location for examination, it was identified as an “incredibly lifelike, fully weighted childlike sex doll”.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: “On Saturday 18 October, we were called to a rural location near Awliscombe after receiving initial reports from several people of a child’s body being found within a large black plastic bag.

“Members of the public had located the bag and partially opened it before calling emergency services. Police attended and although the view of the contents of the bag was somewhat restricted, there was nothing seen that conflicted with the initial report. The ambulance service then also attended the scene.
“Due to the incredibly serious nature of the initial reports, officers followed standard protocol which involved consulting forensic experts. Following forensic advice, the object was carefully moved to a sterile location where the bag could be fully opened.
“It was subsequently established the suspected body within the bag was in fact an incredibly lifelike, fully weighted childlike sex doll.
“This discovery is deeply alarming, and it is of great concern that someone had possession of such a realistic, childlike doll and had dumped it in a location where it could be found by members of the public.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish ownership. If you have any information about this incident, please contact us via 101 quoting reference number 301 18/10/25.

“Devon and Cornwall police will always do everything that we can to safeguard children and would welcome any steps taken to prevent these types of dolls from being produced, sold, owned, or circulated. “.
These dolls have been connected to websites including Shein, which faces a ban in France following complaints about childlike sex dolls allegedly being discovered on the online retailer’s platform.
The economy ministry stated that proceedings would continue for “as long as necessary” for the platform to demonstrate to authorities that all of its content is “finally in compliance with our laws and regulations”.
The announcement came shortly after Shein launched its first physical shop in the Paris department store BHV.
Whilst shoppers queued to get inside, protesters gathered outside brandishing placards.
There is no indication at this time where the doll abandoned in Devon had been bought.
