Stunning WAG gunning for Christmas No.1 after writing track about her footballer husband

Stunning TV star and singer Megan McKenna is aiming for Christmas No.1 after writing a song about her football star husband Oliver Burke as he filmed his first reaction to the song

Reality TV star and singer Megan McKenna is aiming for Christmas No.1 after writing a song about her former Premier League forward husband Oliver Burke.

Burke, 28, who now plays for Bundesliga club Union Berlin, married McKenna, 33, in June and appears to be getting a late wedding present after the singer penned a song about the Scotland international.

McKenna posted a snippet of her upcoming song, ‘Feels like Hallelujah’ which will be released Friday (November 7) to her three million followers on Instagram.

The singer excitedly recorded Burke’s reaction to the song as they watched together at home. McKenna couldn’t stop smiling as she watched Burke proudly grin and nod his head. The striker then gave a simple one-word reaction: “Quality”.

Her song will feature on ‘The Piano Diary’s Christmas’ with Toby Gad. The Munich-based producer has previously worked with global stars of the industry, including John Legend, Beyonce and Madonna.

The snippet of McKenna’s song had the lyrics: “And it felt like Hallelujah, felt this time this isn’t just a season, it’s a lifetime”.

McKenna, who gave birth to the couple’s first son Landon, and Burke’s second child in October last year, spoke about her wedding to Burke for the first time on the ‘Live, laugh, Luke… with Luke Hamnett’ podcast.

She said: “Oli’s speech was incredible. He told me he’d been working on it all year.

“But when he spoke, he made a mistake. Instead of saying ‘she is selfless,’ he said ‘she is selfish’”.

Meanwhile, Burke has been enjoying his debut campaign for Union, scoring all three of his goals against Eintracht Frankfurt as he hit a hat-trick in the 4-3 win.

Burke came through the ranks at Nottingham Forest before making a £13million move to RB Leipzig as a teenager fresh off the back of scoring four goals in five Championship games.

But his career never took off as he returned to England when West Brom spent £15million to bring him back to the Premier League off the back of just one goal for Leipzig.

The forward failed to find the back of the net at The Hawthorns and has embarked on a journeyman’s career since as he attempts to find form through numerous loan spells.

Burke returned to the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen in 2022 but found himself back in the Championship on loan at Millwall and Birmingham City, before signing for Union last summer.
