Police chase suspect falls down 30-foot gap at constructing web site and is ‘important’
A police chase suspect fell down a 30-foot hole while running away from cops after allegedly stealing a car and is now in a “critical condition”.
The man is believed to have tried to evade police after a chase and ended up running onto a construction site and falling down a hole in Lincoln Heights, a neighbourhood in Los Angeles, on Thursday night.
A huge emergency response including many firefighters responded just after 9.30pm to the area of Sichel Street and Alhambra Avenue after the man became trapped in the hole which measured about 30 feet deep and four feet wide, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The suspect allegedly led police on a chase in a stolen car before abandoning the vehicle to avoid getting arrested, according to authorities. He then ended up running onto a construction site where he plummeted down the hole.
Fire crews were able to rescue the 27-year-old man and he was taken to a trauma centre in critical condition.
