Woman discovered trapped inside suitcase on bus as she shouts ‘thank god’
A woman was found trapped inside a large suitcase on a bus after she hid inside in a bid to “smuggle” herself on the service, according to reports, as police confirm they are investigating
Citylink officials are aiding police in an investigation following the emergence of a video online that depicts a woman trapped inside a suitcase. In a statement issued on Friday evening, Citylink confirmed that the woman involved was an “unauthorised” passenger on their service.
The disturbing footage appears to show a woman enclosed within a suitcase in the luggage compartment of a Galway Bus. In the video, the suitcase can be seen lying on its side with the audible sound of a woman calling out, reports the Irish Mirror. The individual filming approaches the suitcase and unzips it, revealing a woman who seems disoriented and frightened,” reports Galway Beo.
A man’s voice can be heard questioning her, and said, “who put you in there?” Luckily, she eventually manages to get out of the suitcase, while saying “thank God, thank God.”
The woman then sits up and puts her head in her hands. In a statement to Galway Beo, a Citylink spokesperson said: “We are aware of the footage involving an unauthorised traveller on one of our services. We have assisted the Garda with their investigation.”
Previously, a woman who zipped her boyfriend in a suitcase and watched as he struggled and suffocated told police: “I blame it on the wine.”
Sarah Boone tried to claim that she and her partner, Jorge Torres Jr had been drinking and playing a game of “hide and seek” which went horribly wrong. But instead, videos on her mobile phone revealed the sinister truth as Jorge begged for his life while Boone spat out revengeful taunts. After desperately screaming “Sarah,” she replies: “That’s my name, dont’ wear it out.”
At one point she tells him: “For everything you’ve done to me. F*** you. Stupid.” He reacts by calling out her name and stressing: “I can’t f***ing breathe, seriously.”
She responded with: “Yeah, that’s what you do when you choke me.
“That’s on you. Oh, that’s what I feel like when you cheat on me. You should probably shut the f*** up.”
Prosecutors argued that Boone secured Jorge Torres Jr. in a suitcase, verbally abused him, and then left him there through the night, eventually leading to his death.
As officers arrive on the scene, she can be seen on police bodycam footage telling them: “My boyfriend and I were playing last night, and I put him in a suitcase and we were playing…like kind of a hide-and-seek kind thing, so…I fell asleep and I woke up and he was dead in the suitcase. I don’t know what happened.”
She said she woke to find her partner lifeless in the suitcase after he asphyxiated, at which point she phoned 911.
After being sentenced to life in prison without parole after rejecting a plea deal, Boone’s police interview footage was shared on YouTube attracting over 22m viewers and 70k comments.
