Two ladies ‘sexually assaulted’ in Derbyshire park as cops launch description of predator
Two teenage girls have reported serious sexual assaults at a park in Derbyshire. The incident allegedly occurred between 9pm and 11pm at the Lockton Avenue recreation ground in Heanor on Friday, October 31.
The victims, who are currently receiving support from specialist officers, described the suspect as a white male, approximately 40 years old, 5ft 8ins tall, skinny, with a short light ginger beard.
According to the officers, he was wearing a green baseball-style cap and a green coat. Police are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity during the time of the incident or who may recognise the description provided by the girls to come forward.
The force is particularly interested in speaking to residents and businesses on nearby roads who might have CCTV or doorbell footage from that night, which could assist officers with their investigation.
The roads in question include Roper Avenue, Lockton Avenue, Old Coppice Side, Shipley Park Gardens, Thorpe Hill Drive and Thorpes Road, reports Derbyshire Live.
The force has also stated that officers will be present in the area over the coming days to address any concerns. To contact the police, dial 101 and quote reference number 25*639848.
