Strictly Come Dancing elimination leaked hours earlier than the outcomes present as devastated BBC followers fume ‘no approach’

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left gutted once again as the results of Saturday’s show were leaked.

The pre-recorded results show airs every Sunday on the BBC but is filmed immediately after the live show on Saturdays.

However, over the past few weeks, the identity of the latest star to be sent home has been revealed in advance by an audience mole, ruining the show for many and leaving fans furious.

This week the results are already circulating on X, revealing the two couples in the bottom two and the star who has apparently left.

The Daily Mail has chosen not to name the star who has apparently left the show with their pro dancer. 

Taking to X, fans asked: ‘I swear [they] were higher on the leaderboard? Was there a mistake or something?’

Others penned: ‘If this is true it’s about time; Such a Shame;

‘No, no way. Thought the judges would have saved them.’

Another fan questioned if the star makes a mistake in the dance-off which will lead to said person leaving the show. 

Some fans backed the choice, writing: ‘The correct result; Absolutely the correct decision; No surprise there really!’

It comes as a special mash-up has been revealed featuring dance group Diversity during next weeks results show. 

Rehearsals are currently underway with the group, who found fame after winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, famously beating Scottish singer Susan Boyle in the final.

Now 14 members of Diversity, including Perri Kiely and brothers Ashley and Jordan Banjo, will make their debut on the BBC ballroom show on November 16 during the results programme.

The performance will see the male hip hop crew dance to Raye’s Where Is My Husband? alongside five of the female pro dancers, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Michelle Tsiakkis, Nancy Xu and Jowita Przystał.

One Strictly insider told The Mirror: ‘Fans can expect a spectacular group number choreographed by Jason Gilkinson and Ashley Banjo. 

‘Set in LA, it’s a dance extravaganza that sees old school Hollywood collide with hip hop, as the five Strictly pros and Diversity celebrate some of the most iconic screen sirens from the Golden Age of cinema – including Marilyn Monroe.

‘The pros will basically be asking Diversity exactly what the song title suggests.’ 

The results show featuring the mash-up will also have a separate performance from pop star Olly Murs and will be the last show before Strictly’s annual Blackpool Special, which airs on Saturday, November 22.  

It comes as Strictly bosses are under pressure to axe its pre-recorded Sunday night results show as they are unable to stop a mole leaking the outcome of the popular dance-off.

The Mail on Sunday have revealed some BBC chiefs believe the programme should go back to its original format, when viewers voted after the Saturday episode while The National Lottery was aired.

A live results show followed, where the contestant with the least public support was evicted.

There was no dance-off, so the judges had no opportunity to save anyone – unlike the current arrangement, which is filmed on a Saturday night but not screened until Sunday evening.

But now, within an hour of filming finishing at Elstree Studios, the ‘Strictly Mole’ has leaked the results online, and by Sunday morning the news of who has been ousted is all over the internet.

Bosses appreciate the results show on Sunday pulls in an audience of over seven million – though it is certain Saturday night viewing figures would be boosted if results were also screened then.

The BBC’s Sunday evening schedule is now deemed to be ‘extremely healthy’ thanks to Antiques Roadshow and Hamza’s Hidden Wild Isles, hosted by former Strictly winner Hamza Yassin.

One source said: ‘It’s become a complete farce, everyone watching knows that it was filmed the night before – but more significant than that, the result is out on the internet almost immediately.

‘It’s fair to say that this mole is a thorn in the BBC’s side. You can find out by 11.30pm on a Saturday night what happened.

‘A full readout appears on social media and they have no way of stopping it. Fans have to spend all day Sunday trying to avoid the spoiler online or hearing who went in the dance-off over their Sunday lunch.

‘With Tess and Claudia (Strictly’s hosts, who are leaving at the end of this series) going, it is the ideal time to change things.’

Strictly is broadcast live on BBC1 on a Saturday night. After a break, where the judges and presenters change their outfits, they start pre-recording the Sunday night results show.

The presenters, judges, celebrities and professional dancers all refer to what happened ‘last night’ as it is revealed who is in the bottom two and will face the dreaded dance-off – even though it has happened just minutes before.

It was the former BBC controller Peter Fincham who instigated the Sunday night results show in 2007 after its ITV rival The X Factor scheduled theirs in a similar slot.
