Trump eviscerates ‘corrupt’ BBC execs for meddling in international election as editor-in-chief quits in disgrace

Donald Trump issued a scalding statement about ‘corrupt’ BBC executives meddling in the US presidential election after the media company’s director-general quietly quit

The president shared his message about the exodus of BBC higher-ups from the company amid a row over the doctoring of his speech for a Panorama episode and misleading viewers.

‘The TOP people in the BBC, including TIM DAVIE, the BOSS, are all quitting/FIRED, because they were caught “doctoring” my very good (PERFECT!) speech of January 6th,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday afternoon.

‘Thank you to The Telegraph for exposing these corrupt “journalists.” These are very dishonest people who tried to step on the scales of a presidential election.

‘On top of everything else, they are from a foreign country, one that many consider our number one ally. What a terrible thing for democracy!’

Along with Director-General Davie, he corporation’s CEO of News, Deborah Turness, has also resigned following criticism of the BBC documentary.

‘There have been some mistakes made and as director general I have to take ultimate responsibility,’ Davie said in a statement.

It comes after the scandal-hit broadcaster was plunged into a fresh crisis this week, following the release of an internal dossier that exposed a string of incidents demonstrating serious apparent bias in the Corporation’s reporting.
