Air India Express aircraft compelled into emergency touchdown over ‘bomb’ as assertion issued
A plane was forced to make an emergency landing this afternoon after a bomb threat, with a statement now having been issued on the incident.
An Air India Express flight to Varanasi received a bomb threat, prompting the airline to immediately alert the government-appointed Bomb Threat Assessment Committee. According to IndiaToday, IndiGo received security-related concerns for five major airports – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram. The security threat was received digitally.
The flight landed safely and all passengers were able to disembark the plane.

An Air India Express spokesperson said: “One of our flights to Varanasi received a security threat. In line with protocol, the was immediately alerted, and all necessary security procedures promptly initiated.
“The flight landed safely, and all guests have been disembarked. The aircraft will be released for operations once all mandated security checks are completed.”
Meanwhile, a randy couple who were arrested after getting caught in the act mid-flight have got off with the offence. Trista Reilly, 43, and Drew Arnold, 42, engaged in sexual acts allegedly witnessed by two horrified children, their mum and a flight attendant.
The couple were arrested and originally charged with “lewd or lascivious exhibition”, specifically in the presence of minors. But criminal charges were dropped on October 30, with no reason given in court documents.
Mrs Reilly was accused of “making up-and-down movements with her head while she was face down” on Mr Arnold’s lap onboard the Florida-bound flight in July.
A female passenger told cops that she was traveling with her two children when, “during the take off” from New York’s JFK Airport, she spotted a woman later identified as Reilly “jerking off” her male companion.
An arrest statement read: “She noticed that my two kids was watching them and they didn’t stop. After that she was laying on him like if she was doing oral sex.”
