Harrow procuring centre horror after boy, 17 plunges to dying
A 17-year-old boy has died after falling from St George’s shopping centre in Harrow, London this morning (November 12) as police and emergency services cordoned off the scene
A 17-year-old boy has tragically lost his life after plummeting from a shopping centre this morning (November 12). Emergency services, including the police, paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene on St Kilda’s Road, near St George’s, Harrow at around 9am.
The young man was declared dead shortly afterwards. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that while his death is unexpected, it is not being treated as suspicious.
Specialist officers are providing support to the boy’s family during this difficult time, while investigations are underway. St George’s has also released a statement, confirming that they are “working closely with the authorities.'”
Eyewitnesses reported that a large portion of Harrow town centre was cordoned off while emergency crews attended the scene.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “At around 09:05hrs on Wednesday, 12 November police were called to St Kilda’s Road, Harrow following reports a 17-year-boy had fallen from height. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, sadly despite the best efforts of paramedics the boy was pronounced dead at the scene”, reports MyLondon.
“His family are aware and are being supported by specialist officers. The incident is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious.”
Adding to the statements, a spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9.04am today (12 November) to reports of a person who had fallen from height in St Kilda’s Road, Harrow. We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. Despite the extensive efforts to save his life, a patient sadly died at the scene.”
