Hollyoaks further raped two girls with one sufferer nonetheless asleep as he is jailed
A Hollyoaks extra has been jailed for 11-years-nine-months after being found guilty of raping two women, including one victim who was sleeping. Rizwan Khan, 40, was also found to have sexually assaulted one of his victims and slapped a child across the face in separate incidents.
The dad-of-one was convicted of raping his first victim after physically assaulting her. He was also convicted of raping a second woman after she had fallen asleep. The jury at Teesside Crown Court heard was told the woman woke up to discover him performing a sex act on her.
On Tuesday (November 11) , Khan appeared in court to be sentenced. He stood emotionless in the dock as Robin Turton, prosecuting, read out statements from the two women. One of them said that she has anxiety and nightmares, adding: “What he did goes round and round in my head,” Mr Turton read. “When I see his face in the newspaper, I feel sick.”

Defence barrister Andrew Stranex told the court his client continues to deny the offences, saying: “It would be quite bizarre if he said he did it, after standing trial.”
Mr Stranex added: “He is concerned about his parents and their healthcare. Any account saying there’s social care available, doesn’t take into account the level of his care for them.”
Judge Paul Reid said: “Your pre-sentence report says you demonstrate entitlement and hostility towards females.”
Actor Khan featured in several Hollyoaks episodes, appearing as Doctor Peak in 2019 and then once as a paramedic in 2020. He also appeared as a parent in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie in 2021 and this year appeared in This England. Khan also acted in two episodes of ITV detective show Vera and an episode of Holby City.
Earlier in the trial, Mr Turton told the jury at Teesside Crown Court that one alleged victim said Khan, 40, told her: “I need what I need. I want what I want. You, as a woman, should abide by what a man wants.”
The woman alleged Khan was violent towards her before asking for sex. She told police that when she said “no,” he raped her. “In the end I just let him,” she said, adding she feared he would assault her if she didn’t do what he said.

Mr Turton told the court Khan slapped the woman in the face, punched her in the back, picked her up and threw her on a bed. He said: “He forced himself up on her. She kicked him and he got off. He pushed her against the wall and he put his hands around her, strangling her.” The woman said she then ran out of the house.
The second victim told police she said ‘no’ to sex at 3am because she was tired and had work in the morning before Khan raped her.
Khan was also found guilty on a separate charge of causing unnecessary suffering to a child. He is said to have slapped a child across the face while looking after them as a favour. Another person later told police they’d “heard a slapping noise and crying”, with the victim left with a red mark on their forehead, Mr Turton said. The court heard Khan denied assaulting the child when he was arrested.
As well as the jail sentence, Khan will sign the sex offenders’ register for the rest of his life.
He was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order and restraining orders were put in place, prohibiting him from contacting the three victims.
