Cops launch CCTV of man after a number of ladies ‘sexually assaulted’ on UK seafront
Police are looking to identify a man in connection with reports of sexual assaults in a popular UK seafront.
CCTV images of the man on different occasions have now been released following reports of multiple women being assaulted while exercising or post workout.
An investigation by Sussex Police is ongoing into the reports of women being approached on Hove Lawns and the surrounding area.
The suspect is reported to have engaged the victims in conversation. This is typically between 4.30am and 9.30am, before they have been sexually assaulted over their clothing.
Recent incidents have been linked to previous reports received in 2023 and 2024, which were subject to thorough investigation.
The incidents led to an arrest of a suspect who was released with no further action taken, Sussex Police confirm.

Descriptions from the victims commonly describe the suspect as bald and in his 40s, with a Spanish/Italian accent and often wearing exercise clothes.
Detective Inspector Jenny Pietersen added: “Public safety is our priority, and proactive enquiries are underway to identify this individual.
“The seafront is subject to increased patrols, and we are working hard with our partners to keep women and girls safe in our communities.
“I urge anyone who may have witnessed any offences similar to the above, or who recognises the man pictured, to make contact with us.
“We remain in contact with all the victims who have reported incidents to us, and there is nothing to suggest any increased risk to women along the seafront at this time.
“As always, our officers will be providing a visible presence across the city, and anyone with concerns can engage directly with an officer, via 111 or by calling 999 in an emergency.”
