JD Vance Giggles Over Trump’s Shocking Question To Syrian Leader: ‘Amazing Comedic Timing’
A man who has bombed hard while attempting to tell jokes onstage is sharing who he thinks is funny.
Vice President JD Vance was asked by Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who he thought was the biggest clown — or more specifically, the funniest member — of President Donald Trump’s cabinet during a live “Make America Healthy Again” on Wednesday.

Vance responded by saying he felt Secretary of State Marco Rubio was the “funniest outside of the president,” before moving on to give an example of Trump’s “amazing comedic timing.”
Vance recalled a shockingly bigoted question Trump asked Al-Qaeda jihadist-turned-Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa after spritzing him Trump-branded cologne during a meeting in the Oval Office Monday.
In a clip that’s gone viral on social media, Trump can be seen asking al-Sharaa “how many wives” he has. When al-Sharaa responded by saying, “One,” Trump quipped: “With you guys, I never know.”

“I don’t know if you saw this video circulating on social media, but the president met some– uh, met the president of Syria, al-Sharaa, in the Oval Office a couple of days ago,” Vance told Kennedy.
He continued: “And, you know, he asked him, he was like, ‘Well how many wives do you have?’”
In response, Vance, and much of the audience, began to giggle.
“And it’s just like, ‘Oh, what an amazing question,’” Vance said of Trump’s offensive question. “Amazing comedic timing! There are layers to it, there’s like a meta-humor to it.”

Some Trump critics on X shared the “layers” they found in the president’s joke when the clip of Trump’s exchange with al-Sharaa was initially posted on the social media platform.
“Trump thinks if you’re a Muslim man you have multiple wives,” one X user wrote.
“His ‘How many wives do you have’ question is just another example of how trump views women as property,” another X user noted.

“Jesus, what an asshole,” said another X user.
Vance finding a racist joke hilarious shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. In April, he casually dehumanized an entire nation by calling people in China “peasants.”
