A teenage girl was “raped by two men” whilst walking alone on Saturday night. Police have launched an urgent appeal to track down three people who helped fight off the attackers.
The girl was approached by two men whilst walking in Reading at around 10pm on Saturday night. Thames Valley Police say the men “tried to engage her in conversation”.
According to the force, the two men and the victim walked to Prince of Wales Avenue, between Elm Park Road and Albany Road, and it was here where the young girl was attacked and raped. Police say the two offenders are “white, bald men, of slim build. and both clean shaven”.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Sukhveer Sokhi, of Thames Valley Police, said: “I appreciate that this offence will cause concern in the local community. I can reassure local residents that Thames Valley Police is conducting a thorough investigation.
“I am appealing to three Good Samaritans who helped the victim after the offence to please come forward. Firstly, two males, possibly boys in their teens, who intervened and had an altercation with the offenders in Prince of Wales Avenue around 10.25pm.”, reports the Mirror.
“Shortly after this altercation happened, the victim then walked into Elm Park Road, where a black woman helped the victim. We are appealing to these three Good Samaritans to come forward, because what you saw and heard will help our investigation.

We have officers and staff in the community conducting house to house and CCTV enquiries.
