Britain’s bosses blast ‘anti-business’ Labour for failing to reward arduous work

Entrepreneurs in Britain have accused Labour of being ‘anti-business’ and failing to reward hard work.

A survey of company founders ahead of the Budget found just 2 per cent think the Government ‘rewards people for working hard’.

The poll by Helm, whose members are the founders and bosses of fast-growing ‘scale-up’ firms, found 64 per cent believe the Government is ‘anti-business’. 

Helm chief executive Andreas Adamides said: ‘Our members feel betrayed, ignored and genuinely let down by a Government that promised growth but has delivered nothing but uncertainty and indifference. The sense of betrayal is palpable.

‘These aren’t faceless corporates—they’re founders who’ve risked everything to build businesses, create jobs, and drive the economy forward.
