BREAKING Exact date new snow bomb to hit UK as climate forecast maps reveal all – full listing

The UK has been hit by a severe cold snap this weekend, and it seems the freezing conditions are here to stay with a snow bomb expected to arrive in just a few days. The country experienced its coldest night of the season recently, leading to school closures and blocked roads due to wintry weather.

According to the Met Office, a weather station in Altnaharra in the Scottish Highlands recorded 9cm of snow on Thursday. It seems winter has firmly gripped the nation, as the latest UK weather maps have turned purple and white, signalling more heavy snow is on the horizon.

Many Brits could wake up to a snowy scene on Sunday, November 23, as temperatures are once again predicted to drop below zero.
