Amazing footage as girl 3 instances over restrict crashes Range Rover into bushes

A drunk driver will be off the road for 30 months after taking her Range Roader spectacularly off the road into bushes while three times over the alcohol limit, she was also hit with a strict curfew

A driver who flew through a row of bushes while way over the booze limit has landed a 30-month driving ban and a strict curfew. Andrea Williams appeared in court after emergency services were called to the crash which occured at Acklam in Middlesborough at around 9am on September 9.

Amazing pictures from the incident show a Range Rover in the shrubbery off A1044 Low Lane, near Jack Simon Way. Nobody was injured in the accident but the driver has admitted one count of drunk driving, revealed in a blood test after the crash.

The court consequently heard that she had drunk so much alcohol that she had 283mg of alcohol per l100 millilitres of blood.

This alcohol reading is more than three times the legal limit of 80mg per 100ml of blood. The 53-year-old has now been banned from the roads for 30 months.

Williams, who admitted the drink driving charge at a previous hearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on October 22, was handed a community order.

On November 18, District Judge Steven Hood ordered Williams be subject to a four-month curfew, from 7pm to 7am. She must also pay court costs of £199.

Drink driving remains a peril on Britain’s roads despite a recent crackdown, Operation Limit, that saw nearly 60,000 drink and drug tests during last year’s festive season.

This represents double the number of arrests made than in previous years, with 6,931 drivers nabbed for drink or drug driving offences.

Positive results for drink driving remained below 10% but tests after collisions found nearly 15% of motorists tested positive for alcohol, the highest level since 2019.

Drug wipes, shockingly, resulted in positive test results of over 42%. And 2,782 drivers were arrested for both drink and drug driving, double the number from previous years.

Operation Limit crackdown involved 45 police forces across England, Wales and Northern Ireland working together. The results align with alarming trends in data from the Department for Transport (DfT) showing a rise in alcohol-related collisions.

Police have warned that driving under the influence is a “selfish and reckless” decision that costs too many lives each year.

Men continue to be disproportionately represented, making up 85% of the offences for driving under the influence of drink or drugs and 79% of offenders were 25 years of age or older.
