Catholic mannequin advised ‘burn in hell’ will get chortle by turning into millionaire earlier than 30
Model Lana Madison, 29, grew up in a Catholic family in a small Texas town where “being different was a sin” – but she’s now a self-made millionaire living in luxury
A model who was told she would “burn in hell” has revealed how she got the last laugh by becoming a self-made millionaire before hitting 30.
Lana Madison was raised in a Catholic household in a small community where “being different was a sin.” It comes as a model ‘laughed at’ over her curvy body became a professional poser with over 5million fans.
The 29 year old used to weep herself to sleep and pleaded to be “normal.” However, as she matured, the social media star discovered fame and wealth – and now the very same blokes who previously “laughed” at her are constantly sliding into her DMs seeking her attention on Instagram, where she has boasts 78,000 followers (@lanabananaonly).
“My family thought I’d lost my mind,” revealed Lana when asked about when she first started adult modelling.
“People at church said I’d burn in hell. But the same type of guys who used to mock me in school now beg to take me to dinner. I make more in a month than they’ll make all year.
“It’s not about revenge but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t feel good. Money isn’t everything, but it buys freedom – and freedom is priceless.”
Lana, who is trans, describes “coming out” as the “best decision” she ever made. It enabled her to finally embrace herself and discover a community – after the one she was brought up in made her feel like a “ghost”.
She explained: “I used to cry myself to sleep asking God to make me normal. I honestly thought I’d ruined my life by coming out but it was the best decision I ever made.
“I made more money in the first year after transitioning than I ever dreamed of in my entire life. Before, I’d walk into a room and no one would even notice me.
“Now, I can’t go anywhere without people staring and for the right reasons. I finally felt confident and sexy – people responded to that.
“And I found a seven-figure income. I started posting online and men were obsessed. I built a business being exactly who I am.”
Lana acknowledges her choice to transition – alongside becoming an adult content creator – wasn’t straightforward, with many attempting to dissuade her.
Despite facing criticism, Lana now has the final word. The model resides in a plush flat, travels first class and says to pull in $1.6m (£1.2million) annually from her steamy online venture – and she’s never felt more content.
It’s worlds apart from the tiny Texas town where she grew up. She revealed: “It wasn’t just about changing how I looked, it was about finally matching the outside with who I’d always been inside.
“I used to lie awake at night thinking something was wrong with me. I did everything I could to fit in, but nothing ever felt right.
“I thought if anyone found out how I felt, my whole life would collapse. I used to hide, now I own who I am. People can call me whatever they want.
“All I know is, I’m rich, happy and finally me. That’s worth more than anything.”
Lana, who splits her time between New York and Miami, explains the pivotal moment arrived when she recognised she couldn’t continue the charade.
She continued: “I had to rebuild from scratch – by myself. But I remember thinking ‘I can either stay miserable or I can take control’.
“It was like my whole life flipped overnight. I used to pray to be normal.
“Now I’m glad I never was.”
