Girl, 13, was heard ‘screaming’ and ‘yelling’ in days earlier than ‘splendidly variety’ psychological well being employee was discovered ‘murdered’ at her residence

A 13-year-old girl was heard yelling just days before a mother-of-two was found dead in her home, neighbours have told the Daily Mail.

Sarah Forrester, 55, was found unresponsive after police were sent to her home on Friday night, following reports of disorder.

The schoolgirl had previously been interviewed by police but has been bailed while enquiries continue.

There were no other reported injuries, and police said the victim’s next of kin have been informed.

Friends and neighbours of the popular mother-of-two described her as ‘a wonderfully kind woman’.

Daniella Silva, 29, said: ‘A few days ago, I heard someone in the street shouting at Sarah.

‘The next day Sarah called round and apologised for the argument. Sarah did not deserve to be treated like that. She was a wonderfully kind, big-hearted woman.

‘The odd thing is that I was home all day on Friday and I didn’t hear a thing. The first I knew of it was when the police arrived at about seven o’clock in the evening.’

Another neighbour, Kerry Marsh, 53, who also works in mental health, said: ‘I am not going to speculate on what may have happened, but Sarah was a wonderful friend.

‘Sarah was an incredibly kind person and she had a big, warm heart. I was lucky enough to be a good friend of hers for seven years.’

Bunches of flowers have been laid near the entrance to Sarah’s home, which is now empty.

A heartfelt note attached to one of the bunches of flowers read: ‘To Sarah. You will be sorely missed by many.

‘A beautiful soul forever remembered and forever loved. You was (sic) such a nice and beautiful lady.

‘Words cannot begin to express our sorrow. You brought so much joy into this street and you made the world a better place. Rest in peace Sarah.’

Ms Forrester worked as a counsellor at The Kelly Foundation, a Swindon charity which supports individuals with severe anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.

The foundation was set up in memory of Kelly Jobanputra, a BBC Radio 6 Music producer and former BBC Radio Wiltshire presenter who took her own life in 2019.

A statement from the Kelly Foundation read: ‘Everyone at The Kelly Foundation is heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah.

‘She was completely committed to the charity and devoted to her two young children.

‘Sarah was pivotal in the work that we do here at the Kelly Foundation and her loss is a hugely traumatic event, not just for us and her colleagues but more especially for her children and family.

‘Sarah was an incredible person, kind, thoughtful, considerate, caring and funny and she embodied everything that we hope our charity is and can be.

‘She enjoyed her role with us and we all loved working with her, she will be truly, truly missed.

‘Out of respect for her family, we will not be making any further comment at this time.’

Detective Chief Superintendent Guy Elkins said: ‘Our thoughts are with Sarah’s friends and family at this awful time.

‘An investigation into her death is being led by our Major Crime Investigation Team and local residents will continue to see increased policing activity in the area.

‘A 13-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed and I can confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Sarah’s death.

‘We continue to urge people not to speculate on the incident. We’d encourage anyone with concerns to speak with their local Neighbourhood Policing Team, either by emailing or approaching our officers in person.’
