M1 visitors stay as police cease visitors on busy commuter route after collision

Police and traffic officers have halted traffic on the M1 is causing delays as emergency services deal with a crash.

The late night collision occurred just after 11pm on Sunday evening (November 30) according to National Highways.

Traffic is currently stopped southbound between J16 and J15A near Northampton. National Highways report that emergency services and traffic officers are on the scene, Mirror reports.

A spokesperson said: “Please allow extra travel time if in the area this evening.”
