Twerking cop ‘drunkenly groped colleagues and referred to as one a p***y when he rejected her’
PC Pamela Pritchard, 29, joined North Wales Police in 2023 as it was her “dream job” to become an officer but was suspended while still in her probationary period following her antics at a boozy bash
A glam rookie police officer sobbed as she fought to keep her job after being accused of drunkenly groping her colleagues and calling one a ‘p***y’ when he rejected her.
PC Pamela Pritchard, 29, is said to have ‘humiliated’ a male colleague by twice putting her hands on his groin, as well as groping a female officer’s breasts on a night out last year. She is also accused of trying to kiss a male inspector, causing him to ‘pull away’.
Another officer PC Sion Jarvis said: “She was slurring her words and her eyes were glazed over at this point. I started to converse with Pam in a friendly manner when she said the words ‘I want to f*** you’. She said this a couple more times before calling me a p***y.”
She was quizzed under caution following the night out in Wales but was cleared of committing any crime. But she faces the sack over her boozy behaviour at the rugby club leaving party in North Wales where she “twerked” on the dance floor.
PC Pritchard apologised to Mr Jarvis and Inspector Gareth Parry for trying to kiss him, but said she had “no recollection” of the events. The mum-of-one said she was left “suicidal” at the accusations she was a “sexual predator” she was suspended following complaints.
She wept as she fought to keep her job, saying: “I am really sorry. I am so sorry.” The former NHS worker and prison guard said she joined North Wales Police in 2023 as it was her “dream job” to become a copper.
But she was suspended while still in her probationary period following the actions just nine months after joining the force. PC Pritchard insisted none of the alleged gropes were sexual and would have been accidental contact at most.
She said CCTV showed a “consensual” kiss with a male named only as PC B and that she was “clearly very intoxicated” when she tried to kiss an inspector.
She said: “My behaviour that evening was inappropriate I’ve never acted like that before. I’m absolutely mortified at the allegations. The statements and the CCTV that I have seen and heard that’s not who I am.
“I am not that person – I don’t recognise myself on that CCTV. I would never mean to offend anyone. I am not that kind of person I am a good person.”
She broke down in tears as she told the panel: “I’ve let down the police force, myself, my friends and family and most of all I’ve let down my little girl. Please don’t think I’ve gone away and I haven’t thought about this from the moment I woke up to the moment I go to sleep.”
The panel heard PC Pritchard told one officer at the party: “I’m the biggest lesbian here and I’ll fight any man.” But she told the panel: “I am straight. I am not a lesbian.”
PC Pritchard denies breaching standards of professional behaviour and also denies gross misconduct from the bash in March 2024.
A fellow cop, named only as PC B, said Pritchard groped him “out of the blue” when he was waiting to get a drink at the bar of Caernarfon Rugby Club in North Wales.
He said: “PC Pritchard grabbed me below the belt and put her hand on my genitals outside my clothing. To no extent was it appropriate – I felt kind of humiliated at that point.”
PC B told the misconduct hearing PC Pritchard repeated the action when he was outside in a smoking area. He said: “She did the same thing again. She grabbed my genitals outside my clothes and I distinctly remember her squeezing them.”
He said that later in the evening she sat on his knee, put her hand around his neck and kissed him on the lips and told the panel: “It was not appropriate – this was in public. Her behaviour was becoming more and more unacceptable.”
But PC Pritchard told the hearing said: “I deny totally that I’ve made contact with his groin on purpose.” PC Pritchard’s barrister Fiona Clancy suggested PC B had been “teasing her and interfering in her love life” during the night out.
The charges state: “During the evening, you made inappropriate physical contact with two colleagues, neither of whom consented to this contact, either expressly or implied. You used insulting and inappropriate words/language towards two colleagues.
“You attempted to kiss another colleague causing him to pull away from you. This was unsolicited and inappropriate.”
A disciplinary panel chaired by North Wales Assistant Chief Constable Chris Allsop were shown CCTV of PC Pritchard twerking during the night.
Another female police officer, identified as “Police Constable A”, said: “PC Pritchard came up from behind me, put both her arms around my neck, then put them under my armpits and grabbed my breasts and squeezed them.” The hearing continues.
