Britain’s largest love rats uncovered – and all of it depends upon your star signal
With the new year right around the corner, one study has looked into which sign is least likely to be faithful over their lifetime — and it turns out there are several options
A recent study has unearthed which zodiac sign is least likely to be faithful in relationships. It was discovered that Pisces are the UK’s biggest love rats, meaning they are the statistically most likely to cheat.
According to the results of the research, almost one in four people born under the sign of the two fish — between February 19 and March 20 — admit to straying from their partner. Librans — born between September 24 and October 23 — were in second place, with 10% admitting having a fling behind a partner’s back.
Folk born under Aries — from March 21 to April 20 — were most faithful, with just 4% of those taking part in the survey admitting to cheating. The survey of 1,200 adults was carried out by free tarot and psychic readings website Tarotoo.
Whilst the star signs do not advocate for infedility themselves, the signs can be interpreted as a means of demanding more from your partner to be more honest. However, some people believe that the potential to point the finger at the constellations would do little to quell people’s suspicions.
Married man Carl Brotherton, 43, from Tonbridge, Kent, said he didn’t reckon he could get away with blaming his star sign on having an affair. He joked: “I can just see it now, me telling the wife that it wasn’t my fault, saying, ‘Sorry darling, it was the alignment of the stars that made me cheat’.
“I imagine I’d be packing my bags before I could say another word.” A spokesman for Tarotoo said: “Pisces are emotional and often daydream.
“When their emotional needs aren’t met, they may cheat, even if it’s not intentional,” they explained. “They also struggle with commitment because they fear feeling trapped or vulnerable, making it harder for them to fully commit.
“This combination of emotional depth and fear of being stuck likely explains why Pisces ranked highest for cheating in the survey.” The latest study shows a huge shift from a previous bout of research that put Leos as the most likely to be unfaithful.
According to a survey taking place in 2019, those born under the lion were statistically more likely to be unfaithful. The results showed a horrifying 36% of people at the time had either cheated or came dangerously close to it.
Aries was a close second-place, with 34% of respondents confirming they had strayed from their partner or had considered it. But on the other side of the spectrum, Virgos were seen as the best partners with the least statistical chance of going behind their partner’s back.
The survey in 2019 was carried out by Cosmopolitan, working together with EduBirdie, who gathered results from a website that asked participants how faithful they really were. After compiling the results, they were able to see which zodiac were linked to commitment – and those that were more likely to stray.
