Makerfield faculty bus horror as 3 faculty kids damage after fall from window

Three school children suffered potentially serious injuries after falling from a window on a double decker school bus in Ashton-in-Makerfield on Wednesday evening

Three high school students have sustained ‘potentially serious’ injuries after plummeting from a window on the top deck of a school bus this evening (Wednesday, January 7).

Emergency services rushed to the scene following the incident on Bolton Road in Ashton-in-Makerfield.

The road was promptly closed off and an air ambulance dispatched to the location. Inspector Simon Barrie of the Wigan District commented: “This is a serious incident that will cause disruption, our priority is to make sure the children get the treatment they need in hospital. Thankfully we don’t believe their injuries are life-threatening.”

He added: “This does appear to be an unfortunate accident at this time but we will be making enquiries as to the circumstances and liaising with partners.”, reports the Manchester Evening News.
