Chaotic mass brawl breaks out throughout ice hockey recreation as youngsters throw punches at one another

A huge brawl broke out during a kids’ hockey game at halftime of an AHL game between Hershey Bears and Cleveland Monsters in Pennsylvania on Saturday night in front of thousands of fans

A massive scrap has erupted during a children’s hockey match leading thousands of spectators to watch on in shock as the kids descended into violence.

The halftime show at the Hershey Bears versus Cleveland Monsters AHL game descended into chaos as young players came to blows. The mayhem erupted as players from both teams launched punches and kicks at each other, bringing the brutal frenzy to the ground.

The viral fray began as two players from one team ganged up on an opponent, leading to it kicking off as children from all over the ice rushed to join the mayhem. During the frenzy at one point, a child can even be seen taking a swing at his own teammate, clearly blinded by the madness unfolding in front of the child’s eyes.

Fans in the stands at the Giant Centre, Pennsylvania, were left shocked as they watched the unexpected scenes unfold from the other side of the glass. However some fans jumped up and pounded on the glass to spur on the wild spectacle, while others stood in disbelief at the unfolding chaos. The footage of the viral scrap has been viewed over 13 million times, prompting people from across the internet to weigh in on the scrap

One fan said: “On a busy hockey night, the most intense brawl comes during a Hershey Bears intermission youth game,” as they shared the video.

Another commenter said: “Is [this] Baby Fight Club purely for entertainment? I don’t see anyone trying to break it up.”

Laughing at the vast number of fights in ice hockey another commenter said: “So is fighting in hockey allowed? I never see someone try to stop the fights.”

Another spectator remarked: “Some kids getting absolutely demolished in there where are the refs.”

The club has issued a statement announcing it is investigating the events which occurred leading up to the brawl.

The statement read: “We have been made aware of an incident that occurred last night during the ‘Mites on Ice’ event between periods of the Hershey Bears game,” the organization said. “The safety, well-being, and positive experience of all participants—especially our young players—are of the utmost importance.

“We are currently conducting an internal review to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the incident. This review will include gathering information from all relevant parties and assessing the situation thoroughly and responsibly.”

The club has announced it does not want to draw conclusions until the investigation was complete.

The statement added: “At this time, we believe it is important to allow this process to take place before drawing conclusions. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our families, partners, and community as we work through this matter.”
