Epstein and Putin have been related as ‘world’s largest honeytrap’ unveiled in bombshell recordsdata
Leaked files released by the US Department of Justice have exposed Jeffrey Epstein’s secret meetings with Vladimir Putin, ties to Russian organised crime, and more sketchy involvement
Jeffrey Epstein’s secret connections to Russia President Vladimir Putin have been revealed in a huge set of leaked files. The bombshell documents show that the late convicted sex offender met with Putin and had links to Russian organised crime.
Files released by the US Department of Justice on Friday (January 30) have sent shockwaves through the corridors of power. Moreover, three million pages of documents, 180,000 images, and 2,000 videos linked to the Epstein Files Transparency Act were made public.
Being named in these papers does not suggest wrongdoing. Amongst those files, Epstein’s disturbing connections to Putin, the Russian underworld, and the “world’s largest honeytrap” have been exposed.
US security officials reportedly said Epstein had deep ties to Russian organised crime, including gangsters who may have been blackmailing him. This, they suggested, could explain his frequent use of “Russian girls” and how he was able to bring them to the West.
“You have Andrew, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and all the rest placed in compromising positions on an island bristling with technology,” a source told the Daily Mail. “It’s the world’s largest honeytrap operation.”
They added: “The Americans have been on this for years, but our lot have seemed more queasy about it, presumably because of the Royal link.” Among the damning evidence found in the millions of documents in the Epstein Files is a 2011 email to Epstein from an anonymous sender.
The sender wrote: “Spoke with Igor. He said last time you were in Palm Beach, you told him you had an appointment with Putin on Sept 16 and that he could go ahead and book his ticket to Russia to arrive a few days before you.”
Further emails show Epstein planning another meeting with Putin in 2014, The Sun reported. Japanese entrepreneur Joi Ito wrote to Epstein: “Hey Jeffrey, I wasn’t able to convince Reid to change his schedule to go meet Putin with you.”
The “Reid” is believed to be LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman. It is not clear if the meeting went ahead, but a later email suggested it was cancelled after the Malaysia Airlines disaster, with Ito saying: “Bad idea now after the plane crash.”
In another email, Epstein asked someone if they needed a Russian visa, adding: “I have a friend of Putin’s, should I ask him?” Other messages reportedly reveal Epstein claimed he could provide the Kremlin with information about US President Donald Trump before the 2018 US-Russia summit.
In one message to Thorbjorn Jagland, then secretary general of the Council of Europe, Epstein wrote that he should “suggest to putin, that lavrov [Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s veteran foreign minister], can get insight on talking to me [sic].” Epstein also reportedly told Jagland that Trump “must be seen to get something”, to which Jagland replied he would meet Lavrov’s assistant to pass on the message.
Epstein also informed Trump ally Steve Bannon about Jagland’s upcoming meeting with Putin and Lavrov. An FBI report further claims Epstein “was close to the former prime minister of Israel, Ehud Barak and trained as a spy under him”.
In a 2013 email to Barak, Epstein wrote: “Putin will re do his staff in the summer, bringing only very trusted people closer… more info on phone or face to face.” Epstein was also linked to Masha Drokova, a former leader of Putin’s youth club and a strong supporter of the Russian president.
Intelligence sources say her company, Day One Ventures, was accused of trying to “steal technology” from Silicon Valley, as per The Sun. Drokova reportedly called Epstein a “wonderful man” in a conversation with an FBI informant.
The files also show Epstein’s ties to Putin continued even after his 2008 conviction for procuring a child for prostitution. US security agencies are said to have monitored Epstein’s Russian links for years, while UK officials were more hesitant due to his connection to Prince Andrew.
Sources reportedly allege Epstein may have been introduced to espionage by disgraced media mogul Robert Maxwell, who died in mysterious circumstances in 1991. Maxwell, a former MP, reportedly worked as a Russian asset and used Epstein to help move Russian money into the West.
Epstein died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking of minors. His associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking and related crimes.
