Tube predator sexually assaulted sleeping girl — then provided her £20 for intercourse
Stanislaw Pozniecki attacked the woman after she had fallen asleep on the Tube, and appeared to have no remorse when he was arrested by police a short time later
A sick predator has been jailed after sexually assaulting a woman who had fallen asleep on the Tube. After pushing him away, the man went on to offer her £20 in exchange for sex before he was arrested.
Stanislaw Pozniecki had attacked the woman whilst she was asleep on the Jubilee line, trying to wake her up before sitting down next to her and sexually assaulting her. During the horror event, the woman woke up and tried to get him away, while he tried to carry on with what he was doing.
After he was detained by police, however, Pozniecki appeared to show no guilt for what he did. Instead, bodycam footage caught by police showed him bizarrely being more concerned about the fact he had missed his “last train” home.
In the horrific incident which took place on January 2, 2022, both the woman and Pozniecki got off the tube at Wembley Park as she tried to get away. She was later seen on CCTV trying to run away from Pozniecki, 49, by sitting down on a bench further along the platform.
But Pozniecki went on to approach the woman and tried to attack her once again, before rail staff noticed his bizarre behaviour and ordered him to move away. After he left, the victim told staff what had happened, and the police were soon called.
When police arrived at the station, they apprehended Stanislaw on the platform. However, as bodycam footage was recorded of the incident, the predator was heard saying: “The last train’s gone, oh s***”.
Stanislaw appeared before Southwark Crown Court on January 29, he had initially pleaded not guilty to the crimes before eventually changing his plea to guilty. He would later be sentenced to four years and nine months in prison.
On top of the prison sentence that was passed onto him, the presiding judge also placed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order onto Stanislaw for 15 years. As part of the order, he was prohibited from speaking with lone women in any way on the rail network in the UK; this includes the London Underground.
The sex offender was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge after changing his plea from not guilty to guilty to one count of assault by penetration. Speaking on the ruling, Jamie Saunders from the British Transport Police said that Pozniecki was going out of his way to target vulnerable people on the tube.
“Pozniecki sought out and assaulted a lone woman who was simply travelling home,” Saunders said. “His abhorrent actions were predatory, and I am pleased to see him handed this jail term.
“It is thanks to the courage and support of the victim that we have been able to bring him before the courts and put him behind bars for years to come,” he continued. “I would also like to extend my thanks to the member of rail staff who spotted something suspicious, immediately intervened, and called the police.”
