Winter Olympics star strips for Playboy as workforce captain admits bare pics are ‘very good’

A Winter Olympics star has stripped for Playboy and pulled out some raunchy poses as her team captain admitted that her team-mate’s naked pictures are ‘very nice’

A Winter Olympics star has been making eye-catching headlines after posing naked for Playboy.

German ice hockey forward Franziska Feldmeier is hoping to land a medal in Milan Cortina but the 28-year-old stripped off all her protective gear as she showed off every inch of her athletic body.

All eyes were on Feldmeier in the build-up to the Games as the forward’s racy photoshoot coincided with Germany kicking off their Olympic campaign. Feldmeier left nothing to the imagination as she posed naked in raunchy poses and outfits for the March front cover of the German copy of Playboy.

Speaking in an interview with the magazine, Feldmeier said: “A sporty, muscular body can be just as feminine and beautiful. That’s exactly what I wanted to show.

“When young players come up to me and say I’m their role model, that’s something really special. That hardly ever happened in my day.”

She added: “Within the team, we often talked about topics like body positivity. At some point, we also got onto the topic of Playboy.

“At that time, however, I hadn’t really considered doing a shoot like that. When the opportunity actually arose, I thought very carefully about whether I really wanted to take that step.

“An important point for me was the message behind the images. Ice hockey is a very physically demanding sport; we train our upper bodies a lot and are therefore quite muscular.

“Especially as a younger girl, I often thought: ‘I don’t want to do upper body training anymore, it doesn’t look feminine.’

Feldmeier has the support of her captain Daria Gleissner, who supported her team-mate’s public image.

She said: “It was her decision to do it, and the photos are very nice to look at. Of course, it’s a topic of conversation within the team. Everyone can present themselves however they want, and we’re grateful for any attention.”

Germany’s coach Olaf Tabor has also commented on their public perception being important after a positive Summer Games in Paris. “The 2024 Summer Games in Paris were outstanding in terms of the public perception of the German team,” the 54-year-old said.

“We are also now in normal daytime. Therefore, Team Germany, with its previous performances, will play a major role. We must make it clear: We are a sporting nation and intend to remain one.”

Feldmeier will be back in action on Friday when Germany start their play-off journey to the gold medal match.
