Sky Ultimate TV bundle provides Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu value £20 for subscribers

Sky has announced that Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu will be included in its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, with HBO launching March 26 and other streaming services dates to be confirmed

Sky Sports customers are set for a major boost as Sky unveils a revamped package that includes complimentary access to popular streaming services worth more than £20.

The Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle will now come with Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu at no extra cost. Existing subscribers paying £42 a month, as well as new customers who sign up before the changes take effect, will benefit from the added streaming platforms. This is in addition to Sky TV, free Netflix, and discovery+.

However, Sky has confirmed that the package will increase by £2 a month for new subscribers joining from April 1 onwards. Those who secure the Ultimate TV and Sky Sports package before this deadline will get Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic With Ads, and Hayu included in their subscription at no extra charge.

The bundle offers an extensive range of Sky Sports programming across nine dedicated channels, covering top events like the Premier League, EFL, Formula 1, darts, and golf. Subscribers also get access to over 135 standard channels, including Sky Atlantic and the soon-to-be-relaunched Sky One.

HBO is set to make its UK debut on March 26, with the launch dates for Disney+ and Hayu yet to be confirmed. The free streaming package is also included in the standard £22 Ultimate TV bundle, which doesn’t include Sky Sports channels, according to Wales Online, reports the Mirror.

Sky subscribers will have access to a plethora of Disney+ sports documentaries, including Welcome to Wrexham, Flintoff, and Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story. In addition, there are numerous Netflix series available such as Beckham, Formula 1: Drive to Survive, Full Swing and Carlos Alcaraz: My Way.

However, customers should note that whilst HBO Max will become the new home of TNT Sports, a separate TNT Sports plan will be required for full access. Sky has also stated that its prices ‘may change’ during the 24-month minimum term.

This announcement comes as Virgin Media competes directly with Sky through its own sports package, reducing its flagship Sport bundle from £56.99 to £52.99. Although more expensive than Sky’s offering, it includes over 200 channels, nine of which are Sky Sports, plus Netflix and 362Mbps broadband.

Sophia Ahmad, Chief Consumer Officer at Sky, unveiled the new Ultimate TV package, stating: “This marks a new era for Sky and NOW. In a world-first, we’re bringing together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu into a single Sky TV subscription.
