Tesco making ‘everlasting’ change to twenty-eight shops in England – see full checklist
Tesco is making a permanent change to some of its stores in England. The supermarket giant is rolling out menopause-friendly bays to more of its UK stores
Tesco is expanding permanent menopause-friendly sections to additional UK outlets. In the West Midlands, Tesco has implemented the modification at its Coventry Arena Extra store, responding to substantial customer requests.
Coventry Arena Extra now boasts a designated menopause section, clearly marked with the MTick logo. This forms part of a 32% rise in outlets introducing permanent menopause areas.
Outlets featuring an MTick section are experiencing 16% quicker like-for-like expansion. These areas consolidate products addressing 36 of the 48 acknowledged symptoms of menopause.
The selections feature reliable brands including Colgate, E45 and Lil-Lets. The permanent MTick menopause sections have generated the most significant percentage growth in space across any category, expanding by 27% year-on-year.
Outlets showcasing an MTick section have witnessed 16% swifter like-for-like growth versus outlets without designated areas, reports Birmingham Live.
Heather Jackson, CEO and Co-Founder of GenM, remarks: “The MTick was created to empower menopausal women, and those around her, to search, source and shop with confidence. By bringing greater education, visibility and trusted signposting together in one place, these bays and the menopause category at large, are transforming the shopping experience and helping women more easily identify trusted products to support a variety of her signs.
“Witnessing MTick Menopause sections expand across 32% more Tesco outlets, with recognisable household brands at affordable prices and with broader product selections available, more women can access support in a way that suits their needs and demands.
Tom Lye, Health and Wellness Category Director at Tesco, said: “Our partnership with GenM is helping Tesco create a more Menopause friendly shopping experience.
“The MTick gives the category structure and credibility, helping customers quickly find trusted solutions. Expanding these bays to more stores reflects rising customer demand and Tesco’s focus on championing women’s health.”
