Epstein information declare Putin’s ‘spouse and daughter’ had been on billionaire’s superyacht

Billionaire Nathan Myhrvold told Jeffrey Epstein he had hosted Vladimir Putin’s ‘wife and daughter’ on his luxury superyacht, according to newly uncovered emails from Epstein files

A billionaire tech mogul previously connected to Bill Gates informed Jeffrey Epstein that he had welcomed Vladimir Putin’s “wife and daughter” on his luxury superyacht. That’s according to a recently discovered email exchange.

The assertion emerges in messages between the disgraced late financier Epstein and Microsoft’s former chief technology officer Nathan Myhrvold, 66, disclosed in documents linked to the US Justice Department’s probe into Epstein.

In the correspondence dated October 27, 2010, Epstein posed a direct question to Myhrvold: “did you have putin on your boat?”.

Myhrvold responded later that day with a brief reply: “His wife and daughter,” concluding the message simply “Nathan.”

The exchange was discovered in the batch of Epstein-related papers released publicly earlier this year, and emerges alongside allegations – yet to be substantiated – that the sex offender operated a worldwide honeytrap scheme for Russian intelligence.

Myhrvold has previously rejected having a “personal relationship” with Epstein – despite evidence in the documents demonstrating the pair exchanged messages and met repeatedly.

They maintained contact over an extended period, organising encounters in locations including Seattle and New York, with Myhrvold’s name appearing on a flight manifest as far back as 1996 whilst he was at Microsoft.

Myhrvold has previously stated through a representative that he knew Epstein solely through TED conferences and his backing of scientific research, noting that he regrets ever encountering him. The exact timing and location of the alleged yacht visit are still uncertain.

The email doesn’t specify which of Putin’s daughters might have been there, and no other public record seems to confirm that the Russian leader’s family were on Myhrvold’s vessel.

Putin’s ex-wife, Lyudmila Putina, now 68, was married to the Russian autocrat in 2010, with their marriage ending three years later.

They had two daughters, Maria Vorontsova, a medical researcher, now 40, and Katerina Tikhonova, a technology executive and academic, 39.

Presumably, the reference in the Epstein file pertains to Lyudmila and one of these daughters.

However, in 2010, Putin also had a daughter with his secret lover and “unofficial wife” Svetlana Krivonogikh, now 50, a cleaner who became a multimillionaire.

At that time, this child, Luiza Rozova, now 23, would have been seven.

In 2010, Putin was also at least three years into a relationship with Russian Olympic gymnast Alina Kabaeva, now 42. The couple, who have two young sons, are not known to have had a daughter.

The yacht mentioned in the email appears to be Teleost, a 160-foot luxury boat owned by Myhrvold and valued at around $15 million, built by Dutch shipbuilder Feadship.

It can be chartered for approximately £146,000 to £165,000 per week, according to publicly accessible listings.

The reason why Epstein was enquiring about Putin remains a mystery.

The financier – who died in custody in 2019 whilst awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges – appeared to have a long-standing fascination with high-profile political figures.

Putin’s name features more than 1,000 times in the newly released Epstein files, though there is no evidence the pair ever encountered each other.

The documents do reveal Epstein discussing Russia with various contacts and trying to orchestrate introductions to influential figures linked to Moscow.

Myhrvold himself also possessed indirect connections to Russian political networks.

Investigative publication The Dossier Centre previously disclosed that Epstein referenced Myhrvold in conversations with Russian official Sergei Belyakov, proposing the tech billionaire as a potential attendee for the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Belyakov maintains clear ties to Russian intelligence as an FSB Academy graduate, and assisted Epstein in securing a visa invitation letter from Vympel veterans organisation, connected to the secret services.

There is no evidence that Myhrvold ever participated in the event.

However, he is understood to have travelled to Russia with Epstein in April 1998, including a trip to closed nuclear city Sarov.

The resurfaced email connecting Putin’s family to Myhrvold’s yacht does not indicate that they ever encountered Epstein.

But it provides insight into the interconnected social networks of powerful figures in technology, politics and finance that Epstein aimed to develop. Neither the Kremlin nor spokespeople for Myhrvold have publicly responded to the email correspondence.

Myhrvold is a billionaire tech entrepreneur who collaborated extensively with co-founder Bill Gates during Microsoft’s formative years.

A physicist by background, Myhrvold obtained a PhD in theoretical and mathematical physics at Princeton and subsequently pursued postdoctoral studies with Stephen Hawking at Cambridge University.

He became part of Microsoft in 1986 following the company’s acquisition of a software startup he had co-established, ultimately rising to become the corporation’s inaugural CTO, a position he occupied from 1996 to 2000.

Upon departing Microsoft, he established Intellectual Ventures, an innovation and patent-licensing enterprise that has accumulated thousands of technology patents.

Myhrvold additionally holds the position of vice chairman at TerraPower, a nuclear energy firm established by Bill Gates.
