Primrose Hill double stabbing as man, 21, dies at viewpoint and homicide probe launched
A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death at the popular north London park viewpoint as police launch a murder investigation, with another man in his 20s also injured

A murder probe has been launched following the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man at a UK viewpoint. The Metropolitan Police confirmed officers were alerted at 6.41pm on Tuesday to reports of an altercation at the renowned north London park, Primrose Hill, famous for its sweeping views across the capital.
Police arrived with the London Ambulance Service, who treated a 21-year-old man at the scene for knife wounds. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, he was declared dead at the scene.
A second man, thought to be in his 20s, was discovered by officers close by on Regent’s Park Road suffering stab injuries.
Paramedics rushed him to hospital and his condition is not considered life-threatening or life-changing. No one has been arrested and a crime scene remained cordoned off on Tuesday evening.
Last year, a teenager was jailed for a minimum of 16 years for fatally knifing a 16-year-old boy in the neck during a New Year’s Eve fireworks display at Primrose Hill on 31 December 2023.
Superintendent Matt Cox commented: “This is an utterly tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the man’s family and loved ones.
“I would like to reassure the local community that the investigation is unfolding at pace and an increased police presence will remain in the area while we carry out inquiries.
“I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information that could help my officers to come forward.”
