Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney ship temperatures hovering as they lead the celebrities at Euphoria season three premiere

Euphoria stars Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney put on stunning dueling displays as they hit the red carpet for the premiere of the third season of the hit HBO series last night.

The pair glowed in contrasting gowns as they attended the event at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Dune star Zendaya, 29, wore a dark brown halter neck dress by Paris-based label Ashi Studio, while her co-star Sweeney wore a draping archival white dress by Pierre Cardin with a bow. 

They were joined at the premiere by their co-stars Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow, as well as the show’s creator Sam Levinson.

The new series of the high school drama releases on HBO on Sunday, April 12, and comes nearly four years after the conclusion of season two.

Euphoria picks up five years from where it left off, with most of its returning cast now out of college, Levinson told Variety in December.

Zendaya’s character Rue is still struggling with addiction but has moved to Mexico in an attempt to escape drug dealers she owes money to.

Meanwhile, her former classmates are spread across the country. 

Sweeney’s character, Cassie, has landed in suburbia with Nate (Elordi), and the two will tie the knot in the third season.

Nate’s former high school girlfriend, Maddy (Demie), is now working at a talent agency in Hollywood, while Lexi (Apatow) also works in the film and television industry as an assistant to a showrunner who’s played by Sharon Stone.

Season three also marks the final on-screen appearance of Eric Dane, who played Elordi’s father and died in February at 53 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). 

Zendaya set pulses racing with her skimpy dark brown ensemble, which was nearly black.

The backless look featured a thick halter neck and revealed a bit of side boob, as well as the Spider-Man star’s trim arms.

The satin dress featured a long train, as well as a slit revealing Zendaya’s matching brown heels.

She complemented the chic ensemble with her hair, which was tied back tightly in a bun to give it the appearance of a pixie cut.

Her hairdo featured swept-aside bangs that dangled playfully over her eyes.

Sweeney contrasted Zendaya’s dark gown with a brilliant white dress.

The look showcased her curves thanks to its clinging bodice, which shrank her waist with the aid of a corset. 

Sweeney’s dress had a cape draped from the shoulders, which was tied to a bow over her midriff. 

The dress showcased her fit legs, and she added some flash with a pair of silver sparkling pumps. 

Jacob Elordi, who plays Sweeney’s soon-to-be husband on the new season, looked too cool for school in a black suit.

He paired the three-button suit with striking patterned leather shoes, a black shirt, an anthracite tie and chunky black sunglasses. 

Hunter Schafer, who plays Zendaya’s ex-girlfriend Jules, looked glamorous in a semi-sheer dress covered in gold sequins.

The dress featured a streak of white sequins resembling tree roots, and Schafer wore a pair of brown heels.

Joining Sweeney on the red carpet was her costar Maude Apatow, who contrasted her angelic look with a chic black dress.

Her outfit also featured a corset design, though its ribs were left visible.

Alexa Demie channeled classic glamour in a plunging silver-and-black striped off-the-shoulder gown. 

It featured tight black-and-white V-shaped designs on the body of the dress, and the dress got an intriguing add-on with wing-like strips of black striped fabric.

Joining the cast on the red carpet was creator, writer, director and showrunner Sam Levinson, whore wore a classic black suit with chunky square-toed shoes. 

Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph flashed an intoxicating smile while wearing a black lace miniskirt and matching pants. 

Natasha Lyonne struck a confrontational pose when she hit the red carpet in a sheer top that left her nipples exposed.

She wore black lace stockings and beige lace-up bottoms, and she draped a thick black overcoat that terminated in black tassels over her shoulders.

The Orange Is The New Black star completed her hodge-podge ensemble with a pair of chunky black suede boots.

Danielle Deadwyler flashed her trim midriff in a ruched green dress with odd elbow-length blue gloves and violet heels.

Chloe Cherry sported ridiculously plumped up lips that drew attention away from her black off-the-shoulder dress, which was decorated with green apples. 

It featured a high slit, and she wore matching dark-green heels with aggressively pointy toes.

The actress Jennifer Morrison, who stepped behind the camera to direct an episode from Euphoria’s first season, looked glamorous in a black off-the-shoulder dress with a line of silver flower-like designs running down her front. 

Former NFL star–turned–Euphoria actor Marshawn Lynch wore black jeans and a matching T-shirt with a black-and-white checkerboard-patterned down jacket. 

True Blood star Sam Trammell looked cool in a beige suit with a contrasting black shirt. 

Euphoria newcomer Jessica Blair Herman looked lovely in a pale lavender dress with an off-the-shoulder design and a V-shaped neckline. 

Levinson got a vote of confidence on the red carpet from Brian Grazer. 

The superproducer was dressed casually in a brown jacket with a black shirt, matching jeans and a large Western-style belt buckle.

Euphoria’s third season premieres on HBO on Sunday, April 12, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
