UK climate map goes scorching pink with 23C warmth set for 29 counties – full listing
The latest weather forecasting maps suggest a 23C UK heat surge could be on the cards later this month, with 28 counties set to be affected by the hot weather
Temperatures in 28 UK counties are set to soar to 20C and beyond, according to the latest weather forecasting charts. The ECMWF weather model reveals Brits are facing a heat wave later this month.
Certain regions could witness the mercury climb as high as 23C, the data indicates. The charts demonstrate temperatures will reach their peak in south-east England and along the southern coastline on April 29.
Nevertheless, mild conditions are also expected across East Anglia, the Midlands and sections of Wales. Temperatures won’t be particularly chilly further north either. The ECMWF model indicates highs of 18C across Northern Ireland and southern Scotland, with 16C forecast for the Scottish Highlands.
Yet, it’s regions further south that will encounter the genuine warmth. The charts reveal the following 28 counties could experience temperatures of 20C or higher on April 29, reports the Mirror.

The Met Office suggests “high pressure” could take control before this month concludes. However, it also warns that some unseasonable April snow remains possible.
The Met Office’s forecast for 21 to 30 April reads: “High pressure to the north of the UK will bring plenty of dry weather and sunny spells at first. A few scattered showers are possible in central and eastern areas.
“Parts of the east coast could be on the chilly side with low cloud and an onshore breeze, but further west it will feel quite warm, especially in sunnier areas.
“By the weekend, unsettled weather is signalled to return, but confidence in the details is low with a range of scenarios possible. One scenario is for a northerly wind bringing wintry showers to northern and eastern coasts, and some snow over Scottish mountains.
“If this does occur it will probably not last more than a few days, before high pressure attempts to return towards the end of the month.”
