Babestation stars again MP’s intercourse toy plan as they warn children: ‘Porn is not actual life’

Britain’s top adult stars are backing a Labour MP’s “Summer of Sex” campaign after warning youngsters that porn is “performative” and far from reality in the bedroom. Politician Samantha Niblett has caused a stir in the House of Commons with her “Yes Sex Please, We’re British!” initiative.

The South Derbyshire MP is planning to turn up the heat by bringing sex toys into the historic heart of Parliament to spark honest conversations about pleasure and health.

The leading ladies of Babestation have now joined the charge, hailing the 46-year-old as they call for a radical shake-up of sex education.

Zeena Valvona, 24, from Hampshire, told the Daily Star that teenagers are being left in the dark about the difference between a film set and a duvet session.

She said: “I do think sex education in schools is very important, and it needs to cover more than just protection and consent. Not every teenager will realise on their own that porn and real life sex are, majority of the time, very different things.

“I do think some people go into their ‘first time’ with the pressure for it to flow perfectly just like porn, when in reality it’s usually awkward and maybe even not as pleasurable as expected. Everybody needs to understand that porn is performative and not always a reflection of real life sex.”

Ms. Niblett’s campaign, launched alongside sex tech guru Cindy Gallop, aims to bin the “medical” education of the past.

The MP, who admits she has watched porn “like lots of people,” wants to focus on the health benefits of masturbation, noting it can help with everything from period cramps to prostate cancer.

She even cheekily declared that “all politicians masturbate,” telling the Daily Star: “MPs should not feel kink-shamed. Everyone is fascinated about sex.”

London-based star Scarlet Harte, 43, echoed the MP’s call for realism, describing the industry as “acting” and “scripted.”

She said: “Porn is a wild fantasy, an escape, an adventure into possibilities. However, real life sex is an intimate exploration of another human being baring themselves and their soul. Porn is performance. It’s acting, scripted and possibly pushing boundaries of reality and fiction.”

The campaign has faced a frosty reception from Tory leader Kemi Badenoch, who claimed it showed that Labour is “fiddling while Rome burns”.

But the Babestation girls aren’t backing down, insisting that “open and honest” chats are the only way to keep people safe.

Robyn Quinn, 36, from Kent, said: “Porn is entertainment. It’s not real life. We need to talk more openly about sex. We need to remove the stigma and the shame of sex.

“If at any point they feel uncomfortable or at any point they change their mind, they are absolutely able to communicate that and not feel that they have to continue with anything.”
