Woman tortured and mutilated by boyfriend who carved tattoos in to her physique and sliced her with razors

A woman kept prisoner and tortured and mutilated for months by her boyfriend went to a police station begging for help when he threatened to kill her, a court heard.
The unnamed victim said she was battered by her boyfriend after she threatened to leave with him tattooing her body against her will and burning her with cigarettes.
She said the brute threatened to kill her when she tried to get away from her and revealed to officers how she was tied up, beaten and forcibly tattooed by the 32-year-old suspect during a campaign of violence.
The horror revelation was made worse by the fact the man had also filmed her visible distress during these attacks that happened in the Brazilian town of Itapetininga.
According to officers, the woman seized her chance to escape when her attacker fell asleep after taking medication, fleeing their home.
She then sought help from her brother, who rushed her to a police station to report the abuse and beg for help.
Officers later arrested the suspect and took him into custody, where he remains now until his trial.
Police say the victim endured repeated assaults, including punches and elbow strikes to her head and face.
Forensic teams found blood-stained furniture at the property where he had used a razor blade and a metal hook to cause horrific injuries to intimate parts of her body, along with ropes believed to have been used to restrain her.
Investigators claim the man used “brutal methods” to inflict both physical and psychological pain, leaving her with cuts across her body, burns from cigarettes and tattoos etched into her skin against her will.
Images obtained by local media show markings on her legs, including names, initials and a date.
A police official said that, as well as the attack with a razor blade, a metal object resembling a hook had been inserted into her intimate area, causing serious harm. Medical examinations later confirmed anaemia and multiple traumatic injuries.
The couple had been in a relationship for more than a decade, reportedly ending in late 2025 before briefly reconciling earlier this year, when the abuse is said to have escalated and she said the suspect recorded the attacks.
The investigation is ongoing, with further charges expected as forensic analysis continues.
The victim is now under protection and receiving support after escaping what officials described as an “extremely dangerous” situation.
