‘My nan tried my stripper pole at work – now she collects my horny mags and is largest fan’

An adult content model has revealed how her nan once had a go on her stripper pole and has backed her risqué career from day one. Jessica Barton, 42, says her granny has never judged her lifestyle, even driving her to her first Playboy shoot when she was just 18.

The glam model says her nan proudly collected every magazine she appeared in and still cheers her on today. After years juggling jobs as a bartender, model and stripper, Jessica has built a six-figure career online with more than 560K followers at @‌Jessbartontwin.

And despite the X-rated nature of her work, she says the support from her family has never wavered.

“My nan and my mum would come visit me at work,” Jessica said. “My sister was a waitress there too, so it kind of became a family thing.

“They both jumped on the pole at one point. I was just thinking, ‘please don’t break a hip – be careful.'”

Jessica explained the club itself was far from the wild image many people imagine. She said: “It was in Orlando, which is basically Mickey Mouse town.

“So the clubs are actually really tame. We had to wear pasties and a thong – no touching, no grinding, nothing like that.

“It was more about entertaining, drinking with people and making it a fun atmosphere.” The blonde beauty admitted she was never exactly an expert on the pole herself.

She said: “I’m honestly a terrible dancer. I’d just get up there, do a spin, collect the money and go back to chatting.

“I made more money just being social and having fun with people.” Jessica said the laid-back environment meant her family never felt awkward about stopping by.

She said: “It wasn’t seedy like people imagine, so my family didn’t mind coming in to visit. That’s probably why my nan felt confident enough to give the pole a try.”

The 42-year-old says her nan has always encouraged her individuality, even during her rebellious goth phase as a teenager. She said: “Grandma just let us kids do whatever we wanted.

“She’d dye my hair pink and purple – I was a complete goth. My brother and sister were too, which was so random because we grew up in a beach town.”

But Jessica says it was also her nan who pushed her towards a more glamorous image. Jessica said: “She got sick of my black outlined lips and purple lipstick.

“So I said, ‘well take me to get my lips done then’ – and she did. That’s kind of where everything started.”

Jessica later pursued her dream of becoming a Playboy model, attending castings and shoots across the US. She said: “My nan actually drove me to my first Playboy shoot when I was 18 and stayed with me.

“And she collected every magazine I was in – Playboy, Maxim, all of them. They’ve still got copies of everything, which I love.”

Although she auditioned five times, Jessica never landed the coveted title of Playmate – something she once found devastating. She said: “It was a lifelong dream.

“But the competition back then was insane – every girl was a blonde bombshell. I was always close, but never quite there.”

Instead, she spent years working gruelling hours across modelling and nightlife jobs while struggling to pay the bills. Jessica said: “I was working all day at shoots, then bartending all night.

“I’d sleep for a few hours and do it all again. Some months, I couldn’t even make rent.”

Everything changed when Jessica joined a popular adult content platform shortly before the pandemic, despite having low expectations. She said: “I thought, ‘no one wants to see my basic photos.

“But in my first month I made $25,000 (£18,500) and I couldn’t believe it.” Since then, Jessica says she has built a hugely successful business, at times earning up to $10,000 (£7,300) during a single live session.

But she insists the work is far more demanding than people assume. She said: “A lot of people think it’s fast, easy money – it’s not.

“It’s a full-time job. I’ll do live streams for hours, sometimes up to nine hours straight.

“You have to constantly create content and keep people engaged.” Jessica, who proudly describes herself as a “cougar”, says she feels more confident now than she did in her twenties.

She said: “I actually feel prettier now. I’ve realised men love all different types of women.

“There’s literally a type of girl for every guy.” And while many might expect her family to disapprove of her career, Jessica says their support – especially from her nan – has made all the difference.

She added: “I’ve always been very open with them. They’ve never judged me.

“My nan has supported everything I’ve done – from being a goth kid to Playboy shoots to stripping. She’s still my biggest supporter.

“I think that’s why I’ve always felt confident just being myself.”
