A football legend was embroiled in a sex tape blackmail storm after bonking his close mate’s model girlfriend.

Former PSG and Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi terrorised defences throughout his career, which was not without controversy. During his time in Naples, when he was dubbed as the ‘new Maradona’, the club’s owner even accused him of “betraying the city’s people” by “going out drinking and visiting prostitutes”.

However, the biggest scandal came not long after he retired in December 2019, when he took Brazilian model Natalia Borges to a remote island during Covid-19 quarantine. While the world was thrown into chaos with the pandemic in 2020, Lavezzi was living the dream on the Caribbean resort of Saint Barthelemy. The 51-time Argentina international, who celebrates his 41st birthday today (May 3), was joined by Natalia – the ex-girlfriend of a close pal.

This was discovered by the media when the ex-player and stunning actress posted pics of the sun kissed paradise on Instagram, from exactly the same place.

Lavezzi’s own ex-girlfriend Yanina Screpante also seemed far from impressed about his behaviour when she was asked about the four-time Ligue 1 winner by journalist Lio Pecoraro.

“I’m tired of talking about my ex, it’s over, I split up two years ago. But well, I tell you that I know her [Borges]. She’s the ex-girlfriend of a very good friend of Lavezzi,” she said.

Yanina claimed that the two had started dating even when Natalia was still with Lavezzi’s pal. “He lied to his friend in the face,” she said.

“He caught her in Brazil a few years ago, and recently again. Anyway, he can do what he wants; it’s his problem. There is Karma.”

The Argentine model also alleged it is not the first time that Lavezzi has run off with one of his friend’s girlfriends. “No wonder [Lavezzi] does this, he has done it before,” she said.

“He was with [film producer] Nacho Viale’s girlfriend (Lucia Pedrazza, who was no longer in a relationship with Viale), with whom he spent the whole time eating together. They were good friends and he didn’t care.”

However, following their lockdown escapade, Lavezzi was forced to instruct his lawyers to act after the couple were reportedly threatened with having intimate videos they had filmed and raunchy pictures leaked online.

According to Argentine outlet La Nacion, the alleged blackmailer demanded £4,000 per video or image not to publish – targeted the striker who had recently been earning £10million a year with Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.

A source close to Lavezzi and Natalia told the paper: “They began writing to the couple via two Instagram accounts. Not just to him, but also his girlfriend, the Brazilian model Natalia Borges, who lives with him.

“To be specific, these people told the couple that they had their videos and recorded conversations in their possession.”

“They described details of the contents – which gave credibility to their claims. But even if they were false, this would still be extortion in any case.”

Lavezzi – who has been married twice, with a son from his first marriage – split up with Borges in 2022. But that wasn’t the end of the controversy.

The former footballer has since dated another model, Maria Guadalupe Tauro, with whom he had a second son in 2024.

Yet months later, Borges claimed Lavezzi had tried to seduce her with messages sent while his partner was expecting their baby.
