  • North Korean diplomats at Kim Jong-un’s London embassy have been spotted living surprisingly normal lives – munching on local curry takeaways and playing basketball in their back garden.
  • Neighbours in Gunnersbury Avenue, Ealing, say the secretive staff from the hermit state are only seen when they pop out for a cheeky curry from their local takeaway.
  • One local revealed: “They’re generally very nice people, they don’t cause trouble.”
  • Behind the high walls of their £2million terraced house, the diplomats regularly use a basketball hoop that was supposedly installed for the ambassador’s children.
  • A neighbour claims they visit the curry house around the corner and get food delivered “fairly regularly” – a luxury that’s thought to be hard to come by back in North Korea.
  • The embassy has been operating from the residential street since 2003, with locals saying the presence of Kim Jong-un’s staff is “quite amusing” despite attracting unwanted attention from protesters and TikTokers desperate for a glimpse inside.
