Woman in UK seashore rape horror as cops arrange cordon and forensics comb scene
A woman has reported being raped on Boscombe Beach in Bournemouth late on Thursday night, Dorset Police have confirmed, with a cordon now in place and no arrests made as the investigation continues
A police cordon has been set up on a popular UK beach following a reported rape of a woman. An inquiry is underway after it was reported that the victim was attacked on Boscombe Beach in Bournemouth,
Dorset Police received information that a man had sexually assaulted a woman around 10pm on Thursday night. Officers were spotted examining the waterfront and the sandy area as the investigation progressed today.
The force confirmed that no arrests have been made in relation to the incident. They stated: “We received a report that a man had raped a woman on Boscombe beach at around 10pm on Thursday 7 May 2026.
“An investigation is underway and detectives are speaking with the victim to provide support and establish the full circumstances of the incident.”, reports the Mirror.
“A cordon has been put in place to allow for enquiries to be carried out. There will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues. No arrests have been made.”
