“It’s become fashionable, so we might get to a point where it’s not what we want anymore, and we might not like it anymore. So you have to think about it very hard in order to love it and be able to defend it your whole life.”

She regularly posts updates to her 55,000 followers on Instagram, who love her look, and recently shared a video of her on the other side of the tattoo gun inking someone up, with the caption: “Appointments available.”

And she looked loved up in recent snaps posted during a break with her boyfriend on the Mexican coastal resort of Maruata wearing a tiny bikini.

Maria, first got a tattoo at the age of 14, said the most painful update was having implants in her arms and tattoos on her eyeballs. But she insisted: “If I feel well and my health allows it, I’ll carry on doing it.”
