Tesco launches new £1 rule throughout all shops for 2 days solely

Tesco shoppers can snap up cheap delivery slots for as little as £1 during a two-day nationwide promotion on Tuesday 12 May and Wednesday 13 May — here’s everything you need to know about the online grocery deal.

Tesco has revealed a significant alteration to its home delivery service – with customers able to secure slots for as little as £1 from next week. The supermarket behemoth is cutting the price of delivery windows for two days only as part of a nationwide promotion.

Shoppers booking deliveries for Tuesday 12 May and Wednesday 13 May will be able to take advantage of discounted slots across the country.

Under this limited-time deal, all four-hour and flexi saver delivery slots will cost just £1, as reported by creatorzine.com. Meanwhile, one-hour delivery windows will be reduced to £2.

Every available slot across both days is included in the promotion. The discounted bookings are already live on Tesco.com and through the Tesco app.

This initiative is expected to be a hit with shoppers looking to reduce grocery expenses while avoiding trips to the shops. Tesco regularly provides cheaper saver slots at less busy times, but this latest promotion represents one of the supermarket’s most extensive delivery discounts in recent months.

The retailer has been increasingly concentrating on expanding and promoting its online grocery services due to the ongoing demand for home deliveries.

Earlier this year, Tesco also unveiled plans to boost the number of delivery and Click+Collect slots available to customers during peak seasonal periods.

The retail giant had previously introduced an additional 120,000 slots in the run-up to Easter and launched bookings sooner than normal to assist customers in securing deliveries.

Tesco’s Anytime Delivery Saver subscription presently begins at £6.99 monthly and provides shoppers with perks, including priority access to delivery slots.

In other Tesco news, the supermarket has recently announced that it is extending its popular Aldi Price Match scheme to more than 2,000 Express convenience stores. It means that if you need anything from Tesco Express, you will now be able to choose from a range of products that are price-matched to Aldi.

The investment marks the biggest expansion of Tesco’s Aldi Price Match scheme since its launch in May 2020, and means that shoppers across the UK can now get even better value, but with the convenience offered by their local Tesco Express store.
