Prince Andrew accused of ‘kicking canine in head and leaving it whimpering’ in new declare

A new biography alleges Prince Andrew kicked his dog in the head after it snatched a sausage roll from a guest at Sandringham, leaving the Labrador ‘whimpering on the ground’

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been accused of kicking his dog in the head in a new claim.

In royal biographer Andrew Lownie’s forthcoming book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, the author claims the disgraced Prince booted his Labrador in the head in a nasty animal abuse incident at Sandringham.

The book states a friend of the Royal Family accompanied the former prince at the monarch’s Norfolk estate for a pheasant shoot.

Lownie claims: “Mid-morning, everyone gathered for hot soup and sausage rolls. The guest was standing next to Andrew, who had his Labrador by his side. Suddenly, the dog leapt and snatched the guest’s sausage roll from his hand, causing him to laugh.” Lownie alleges Andrew then “kicked the dog in the head, leaving her whimpering on the ground.”

The author alleges the guest told Andrew: “That is the most disgusting thing that you have just done to your beautiful dog. You should be ashamed of yourself!”

Lownie claims that the royal responded: “F*** off. It is none of your business and I will do precisely what I want to my dogs.”

The author said: “Over Andrew’s shoulder, the guest saw several members of the party giving him thumbs-up in appreciation of what he’d said.

“That evening, Prince Philip came up to him and said, ‘What you said to my son today was absolutely right and Her Majesty and I fully agree with what you said. Andrew needs a good scolding from time to time.'”

The development comes after Andrew was said to be pleading for the restoration of his taxpayer-funded security following an incident where a man allegedly threatened the former prince near his new home. The ex-Duke of York had been walking his dogs near his residence on the Sandringham Estate when a “balaclava-clad man” allegedly confronted him on Wednesday evening.

Alex Jenkinson, 39, was arrested and charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress. The individual was also charged with failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody.

Andrew was said to be left rattled, though physically unharmed, by the alleged encounter and desires his private security protection to be restored.
