Bare-chested man dubbed ‘Snackie Chan’ does karate strikes as mob confronts him

Convicted paedophile Richard Barden served time for abusing a four-year-old girl and was caught on camera busting martial arts moves with no top on outside his home

A shirtless paedophile nicknamed “Snackie Chan” has been caught on camera performing karate moves at protesters outside his home. Twisted Richard Barden was sentenced to three years behind bars at Airdrie Sheriff Court in October 2018 for abusing a four-year-old girl in 2011.

The disgusting monster, then 31, committed the horrific assault at a house in Coatbridge in North Larnakshire. On Thursday evening, officers were summoned to a Motherwell street after an irate crowd assembled outside a property in demonstration.

The drama unfolded around 9pm before police stepped in, reports the Daily Record. In video captured at the location, the bare-chested and shoeless pervert, clad only in grey shorts, can be seen executing bizarre martial arts movements while staring down unsettled locals in the middle of the carriageway.

An enraged neighbour can be heard yelling “get away from my house please, I’ve got a wean in there so f*** off” as he carried out the strange display.

Wailing sirens echo in the background before two constables arrive on the street in a blue-lit patrol car. One officer informs the assembled group they are being filmed, prompting someone to respond “aye, so is he”.

Barden only abandons his unnervingly motionless stance when police escort him to the rear of their vehicle. Some heckling persists from the crowd.

No arrests were made and the Record believes the man was taken from the address, with the mob dispersing shortly after.

Social media users flocked online to react to footage of the predator’s unsettling antics. One wrote: “Bruce Lee is that you pal?” while another commented: “I thought he was starting aff the macarena”. A third chimed in: “I thought he had an invisible bow and arrow at first”, while a fourth added: “He’s been watching too many movies by the looks of it”.

Three months were added to Barden’s prison sentence for a further double offence on October 3, 2017. He was caught with a “hatchet-type multi-tool” on a footpath near Coatbridge police office, where he also issued violent threats to place others in a state of fear and alarm.

Barden pled guilty to both charges and was sentenced to four months on the multi-tool charge and three relating to the second offence; to be served concurrently for a total of three months, given time already served. He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register.
