Ronda Rousey opponent Gina Carano will get Ebanie Bridges’ approval with smoking scorching pics

Ronda Rousey fights Gina Carano on Netflix this weekend as the UFC Hall of Famer returns to MMA for the first time since retiring from the sport nine-and-a-half years ago

Ebanie Bridges approved of some glamorous photos that Gina Carano shared before this weekend’s huge MMA fight with Ronda Rousey.

Most Valuable Promotions posted several behind-the-scenes snaps of their fighter at the New York press conference a day before her 44th birthday. Carano, 44, wore a sparkly silver dress to the event, with a slit that partially exposed her left thigh, paired with light brown high heels.

She posed for photos while sitting with legs crossed on top of huge flight boxes backstage at Palladium Times Square. The former “face of women’s MMA” also admired herself in a dressing room mirror for one of the snaps ahead of her blockbuster showdown on Netflix with ex-UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Rousey, 39.

MVP captioned the post: “Timeless. Happy birthday day [sic] to the originator. MVP is honored to be a chapter in your incredible story.”

Boxing beauty Bridges, 39, who signed to MVP last summer, commented on the post with two fire emojis. Several other female fighters, past and present, responded to the post.

Cat Zingano, the former UFC star who will be a special guest on the Netflix broadcast of the fight in the early hours of Sunday, May 17, replied with two red heart emojis.

Zoila Frausto, the first Bellator women’s champion, said: “Happy happy birthday” to Carano, those words sandwiched by three fire emojis and three more red hearts.

Carano and Rousey return to the cage in California after extended absences from MMA. The former is making a one-off comeback after a 17-year absence, while her opponent is returning to the sport after several years wrestling, most notably in WWE.

Rousey spoke about her impact on MMA during their final press conference. She said: “Me and Gina are smashing the record for the most women have ever been paid in combat sports.

“And who’s to say we can’t parlay the success of this to me and her making a genre-shattering martial arts film with Netflix after this? “Who says the success of this fight can’t create the rival that UFC needs and give fighters the bargaining power that they’ve never had?

“Hell, if we knock this out of the park, I could become the face of MMA or the face of MVP in MMA and the most powerful figure in the sport since Dana (White). I am not chasing greatness, motherf****r, I am greatness.”

She explained her definition of greatness in MMA before making those comments. Rousey said: “Mine is making history, having a cultural impact, and influencing the future of the sport.”

Rousey also clarified: “I owe Dana and the Fertittas immensely, and I would be caught dead before you ever heard me say a bad thing about any of them.”
